In 1998 the House of Representatives impeached Bill Clinton of perjury and obstruction of justice. I thought for sure he was a goner and Al Gore would finish Clinton’s term. Gore, would have been the “incumbent” and probably would have been president instead of GW.
But as it turned out, the Senate acquitted Clinton. Democrats and Al Gore lost the 2000 election by only a narrow margin. Like it or not, obstruction of justice, Lewinsky, Paula Jones, the whole thing didn’t matter to a majority of Americans. If Clinton could have run again he would have won.

Fast-forward to Eric Holder and the gun-running scandal. President Obama’s media has already convinced his followers that this is another debacle started during Bush’s term. The President finely has a distraction that sticks and the irony is it is being propagated by house Republicans.
At first, I wondered how conservative Republicans like Michelle Bachman can really not see this. But then a chilling thought occurred to me. What if Obama won the election? In four years Michelle Bachman might be a shoe-in.
